Arthur (Mortarman), as many of us already know, is just an all around great guy. He had scanned his Omega truss rod cover and mailed it off to me. Now I need to find a place to make it. Any ideas of where to go? I found a place for my custom pick guard, but they don't do truss rod covers.

Please chime in gentlemen.

Is it a flat one, or curved? If the buggers flat, just get a piece of plastic from your local supplier and make one! :up: I've made a few, and some backplates and scratch plates they're not all that difficult if you're patient and careful....

He's pretty well known as a good source for Ibanez stuff. I'm hoping it works out since he already has a couple Electra model TRC's. Please let us know how it goes......

Well, I sent him my scan from Arthur (thanks again Arthur), and he's making it! :hyper: I'm excited.

It was $15 plus $4 to ship! Not bad.

Now adding up what I spent so far on this Omega, the replacement knobs were around $16 (I think), Pick guard was $36, and Truss Rod cover $19... things add up fast, don't they?! At least she'll be original again. Except for the color switch tips and the one tuning peg. Ideas about those?

The truss rod cover came in yesterday and looks great! The gentleman's name is Andy, I will recommend him.

I have been doing business with Andy since he started about 10 years ago....the guys a genius with vintage Ibanez parts. His locking bridge posts are exactly what Ibanez SHOULD have invented ! His expertiese in cold casting has resurrected many a old beat up guitar ! Hes a great guy and totally trustworthy. I think that he currently stocks some Electra parts......
