This one has an awesome burst on it but has been completely modded out and needs to be saved if it can be done. What a shame to see an outstanding guitar like this one modded. :bawl: :bawl: :bawl: :bawl: :bawl: :bawl:

Changed Parts:
Knobs (have to wonder if it still has the push/pulls... ask seller for pictures of electronics with the control cover off)
Pickups
Bridge (funky Kahler Stop Tail Trem, and I'd be real curious if the intonation is ok on it, from the pictures, the saddles look too far forward)
Missing Truss rod cover
Missing stop tailpiece

Still has brass nut, but has an additional locking nut installed, the non-logo tuners are original.

Interesting side note, this guitar made in June of 1982, is the only other Endorser I've seen (besides mine...) that has the bookmatched body (see photo of rear). Made within a few days of mine, this is a seldom seen variation that is striking when viewed up close. Bittersweet for me, because I thought mine was a fluke, but apparently there are a few of these floating around out there (dagnabit!)

This is another victim of a player with 'ideas'... Even though there are thousands of LP's out there, and even more Strat style guitars, players try to modify Electras to be more mainstream. This is compounded by the fact that during the 90's these guitars could be had for next to nothing, owners figured they'd never be worth that much, so why not experiment on it? In this case, there were probably less than 500 Cherry Sunburst Endorsers made (and only a mere handful with the bookmatched body), compared to modern manufacturers whose typical 'Limited Editions' routinely number 1500 or more, and churn out the standard models in the tens of thousands each year. It's a shame.

I am not certain about this bridge, but some of the stop-tail trems did not need to be routed, so maybe this one was spared having the top chewed into. Someone restore this one, please. Mike.

Is it me or does it appear as if the bridge is sitting on top of the ols bridge studs or possibly a sustain block? I can't see that it's been routed or otherwise had screws put in with that Kahler - I'm more than a little interested in this one and will probably hope it stays low. 8)

Yep I agree that it looks like the trem assy is resting on the standard bridge and tailpiece posts.I have seen in the past aftermarket trem assy that would mount without any drilling or routing and I hope that is the case with this one. If so that would make it much easier to restore to original state with the correct pups and wire harness etc. Good luck as that flame is awesome on this one.

Looks to be a Kahler 2200 -- http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kahler-2200-Tre ... 519wt_1129 -- and, as the listing states "top routing only, no rear routing" so it almost certainly has a shallow top route to clear the springs (dang it !!! )

Kahler's are routed for sure. My Brother had a Gibson les paul with one.

I've asked about the routing and wiring - No answer yet. I have a strong suspicion it's no longer push/pull but I also think there's a good chance there's no rout in the top. If there's a rout- I'm out. If not, I'll give it my best shot for restoration.

:bawl: :bawl: :bawl: :bawl: I have already inquired and there is a route in the top and no push pulls. :bawl: :bawl: :bawl: :bawl: :bawl:

Really too bad....Oof! Ok. Well then I'll keep looking at Peavey T-60's.
