It looks like an old laminated wood surfboard or one of those Hobie skateboards from the 60’s. Bought the body and neck from a stranger in a parking lot, then added Grover tuners and Epi Les Paul hardware/electronics I had in a shoebox.

I’ve looked all over the internet and haven’t seen one like it. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

I have never seen any Electra models with this finish nor configuration. The headstock logo is an older style early version maybe PCM(pacific coast music) a brother company to SLM. Is there any writing or logos on the bolt on neck cover? This may be a guitar put together from several other guitars. the body looks a lot like a Hondo but can't be certain from the provided photos. How tight is the fit at the neck joint does it look like a factory fit? Hard to say from just these photos but there are from time to time pre production one offs or other designs made at the factory that were never produced.Interesting and thanks for the photos.

I would agree as I have seen Hondo bodies that are similar.

I believe this body and neck to be originally mated together... I have seen numerous examples of this body (curvatures are just different enough) and this logo and the faux cut-out headstock. it's definitely not SLM, but either late PCM, or a different unknown distributor that helped push SLM into switching to the Westone name....

I am with MC Brat on this one. The neck and body finish match and there are known examples of this guitar with different badges.
