Hmm..... I mainly switch off between my '00 LP Studio Plus, '99 American Fat Strat Deluxe, and my Epiphone Sheraton II Deluxe. I am very happy with my LP, in fact I've lent it out a couple of times to a friend who was recording and he's not much of a Gibson fan but he said that my Paul was one of the best guitars he's heard, so I guess I got a gem off the ol luthiers bench. My Strat has the two noisless singles and the tex mex in the bridge, roller nut and stringlocks up top. Very fun to play but I get the "eye" sometimes from our worship leader when I give a gratuitous dive bomb at the end of a song, ooops :D And then my Sheraton is just a cool playing semi all the way around. I only have 18 guitars but no two are alike, I dig the different voices..........the ones in my head too!HA HA HA :look:

Is that a Tom Delonge series??

You would think so(that's what I thought when I took it on trade)but it's a Squire Bullet with a changed headstock decal,non-original toploader bridge,Seymour Duncan P90/rail humbucker-mini switch gives you P90 or rail or both as a humbucker. Lotsa cool tones outa that pickup, plays surprisingly well-good trade fodder!

Aha! You fooled us. As long as you started a sort of Fender thing - I'll throw in my Strat build. It's a genuine Fender ash Midnight Wine body and Vintage noiseless pups with a mighty mite compound radius neck. I had heard some iffy stuff about mighty mite but this neck is really nice. I've had the pickups forever and I swiped them out of my old e-series Squier before I sold it. Best single coils I've had. Basically, except for the tuners and neck, this is all Fender parts.

93' Gibson Nighthawk (3 pickup version) Great guitar, don't understand why more people didn't buy these.

AAA Guild Bluesbird. One of the last ones built in Westerly, RI by an old band mate of mine. The quilting on the top was so crazy (it looks 3D) that he put it aside because he knew I would want it. I still also have a Guild Brian May "Red Special" neck and body that never got finished when Guild shut down here in RI. My friend smuggled out the pieces during his last week wrapped in his jacket. One of these days I'll get that put together.

Epiphone Zephyr Blues Deluxe (3 P90's) Big fat T-Bone Walker sound. This one is from the first year they made these. It is a Chinese built guitar but it's WAY better than the Korean ones that they started making. I got this (and several other nice Epi's from a friend of mine who has an endorsement deal with Epiphone. While the Chinese Epi's may not be the greatest guitars the ones that Epiphone gives him are the cream of the crop. Love this guitar.

I just recently got a Roland GR55 guitar synth, and I couldn't mount it on my favorite guitar (Aria Pro II TS400) without drilling holes or using double sided tape. I could mount it on my '78 Gibson RD Artist without any mods to the guitar, so that's my main squeeze, and it's an awesome instrument!

The only thing I've got against the Gibson is it's more of a reach for my short arms to get to the lower frets, the body is a bit longer. The other thing is it is pretty heavy, and the Aria is probably 2 lbs lighter.

IMHO the newest major league contender in the guitar market has to be Taylor. I have a '97 615ce which is also a fantastic instrument, but I really don't use it with my cover band, just rarely with the praise and worship band, and playing around the house. I haven't played any of the new Taylor electrics, but every single Taylor I've ever played was good, so I suspect the electrics are awesome too.

Here's me and my Gibson in action last week. We got hired to play for a big party for Kellog's purchase of Pringles from P&G.

Since we're resurrecting this thread, I've got a '61 Reissue SG that I like a lot. But every time I pick it up, I think "why does these things cost SO much"?! They shouldn't. Just a great playing, well built slab guitar. But not for the $2,000 they sold for! I'd rather have a nice LP now instead of my SG.

I have a Strat from late '70's/early '80's, not exactly sure of the year. Color is "sienna sunburst" and it has a '62 RI neck from the '80's on it. I bought it that way, so I'm not sure how and when the neck and body came to be together.

Also have a 1954 Gibson LG-1 acoustic.
