I have a Corsair, non stereo, with the natural finish, however the back of the body is black lacquer not natural finish, and i was told it was a neck through but it has a plate on the back, any help would be appreciated. I will post photos as soon as I can

the black back means it was the transitional model. it was a glued/set neck with plate and screws for reinforcement.

The reinforcement was done because of how they made room for the neck pickup, and it made it very fragile at that point...

here's what a broken one looks like....

It would be a 2279 - Variant.
