I can't decide if guitar enthusiasts of the 22nd century will see this as a screaming deal or firewood.

Too bad about that neck. I really don't like my X140 much, so I wouldn't seek another. Maybe with different pickups it would be OK. I can't really get a nice sound with the stock pickups. Could be that I am a bad player! I do like the idea of putting my maple neck on one the X150's! haha!

Well, I have to give him some credit, at least he didnt go on and on about how rare it is and "reefer" 8) back to this site to sell it.

I guess I missed the reference here. I think referring to the site is a good thing (maybe not reefering). I think it gives credit to the hard work of the persons who compiled the information on these guitars instead of blatantly ripping it off.

The site is a great place with awesome people. The main problem with some people is that they just join to ask how much it is worth and then put it up on eBay. We will never hear from those people again and they do not help us further the Electra story. We love the folks that find us and share their pictures, stories and memories and hopefully stick around to learn and contribute.

We share with all, but some folks who take and use our knowledge and images without at least a small bit of credit de-value the good work done around here. This reason is why the web almost lost the Westone site when the old webmaster got sick and tired of people using his images, etc. on the web. He closed the site down but luckily it was saved by a transfer to another person.

yyzrondo, thanks for the explanation, I agree with what you've said. I have heard the story about the Westone site. I've had the fortune to meet some of the people on the site including our "webmaster" and have only good things to say about them. I guess this is a fine line since the other side of the coin is when people take the information from the site and don't give credit where it is due. I think that the site is a great resource and I have personally learned a lot here. Thank you all.
