Well, the seller was very good about fast shipping--received the guitar today!case is in nice condition-not sure if it is OEM-no logos on it.The overall condition is great-needs a little cleaning, electronics cleaned, and replacement of the bridge and tailpiece FYI the tailpiece on the guitar is called "the Bowen handle"you can find their website on the net. I am very happy with the guitar and look forward to bending a string when i get it back from my guitar wizard :P

How about a update on this guitar??------well, after purchasing a tonepros bridge and tailpiece set, taking it to my guitar tech, a new toggle switch, jack, reflow old solder joints, clean pots, polish, level, glue frets(as needed)unseize truss rod nut, adjust trussrod, nut tweak, new strings, action and intonate, pickguard scratches polished out and general cleaning of neck + body, I have the guitar back to playing shape!Cost me another $320($120 in parts and the rest in labor) to get there---My Tech had worked for Rickenbacker in the late 60's/early 70's as their QC guy,and has been renowned for making 12 string electrics play in tune -he gets daily shipments from all over the world from people needing issues with their guitars resolved-his opinion of this guitar"the build quality is excellent, fit finish, feel, appointments are all excellent-this guitar is as nice/nicer than any new or vintage ES 335"the only negatives the guitar has presently are some minor scratchs and the OEM tuners are 10:1 ratio-they work, just very touchy for tuning and could use an upgrade to 16:1 ratio or higher. He and I both feel this guitar was not played very much-frets were hardly touched above the 5th fret-just tarnished. I have been playing the guitar this evening and find it comfortable to play--so pleased with my purchase-saw some new plain 335's today listing for $4-5 grand! no thanks!!!

Congrats HB! I've had my wife's x410 in for work right after we got it and the crowd at the luthier shop went quite gaga over it as well, a couple of the guys had never seen one "in the flesh".

I gotta side with my man RCSB though... pics or it never happened.

so after playing this sweet guitar, I have opted to shop for a fresh set of tuners--my tech has recommended some Kluson "waffle" backs that are supposed to fit without modification-any body want to weigh in on tuner brands and models

Never have heard a single bad word on Klusons. TonePros are quality for the value in my book.

I've used Gotohs on a couple of occasions and love them. My '62 Melody Maker needed replacements years and years back and without knowing anything of Gotohs I put a set on. I have never regretted it.
