I'm assuming the seller removed this. I'm hoping it was not actually bought for this price.

Really? I had no idea. About a year ago I bought an X310 (locally) with the Compressor & Dynamic Fuzz modules for $350 with the OHSC. I didn't really need the guitar so I sold that for $275 to a friend of mine. I didn't have those two modules and I needed the case for my X340. I knew I had made out pretty well in this deal but I didn't think I made out THAT well.

Now if I can just find another good deal on an MPC guitar that comes with the Auto Wah and Filter Follower....

Wow - compressor was one of my favorite modules and I sold mine. Now can't find one. I won't pay that though. Although it is a very good compressor, I can't see paying that for one. I am too tight.

The filter follower is another cool effect, and there are two distinct versions, one has a switch on it. They both sound good.

The auto wah, it is rare as hen's teeth, but it is a rather un-impressive effect too (probably why it is fairly rare). The filter follower is more like what i have seen for other "auto wah" effects. But this is a wah moving at a set rate (rate determined by your pot on the guitar). Move it one way and a goes "w a h , w a h , w a h" and move it the other way and 'wah, wah, wah". It is almost like a phaser or tremolo effect is that way. Not very useful in my opinion. I don't imagine they sold too many of them. It was the hardest for me to find.

Darn!

Can't blame a guy for tryin' :D

Also, things are worth whatever a guy will pay for them. So even though I see Electras out there listed for $3000 and I think it is totally ridiculous, I can't blame a guy for trying. I myself have gotten a premium (for the time) out of some of mine when I sold them - a fair premium, but usually what I would consider top going rate. I don't get 3X that rate. But like it or not prices are going up. Good if you already have them, not so good if you are looking for them. But they still are affordable, especially compared to their counterparts (the Ibanez, Yamaha, and other well-regarded Japanese brands).

Another thing, if I get one and sell it, usually I have gone completely through it and everything generally works very well and it plays great. Some of these folks just throw this stuff out there. But if you pay a premium, make sure it is right. I'd hate to see someone pay that much and get something they have to fix once it arrives.

If anyone is interested in parting with the Auto Wah, Tube Sound or Filter Follower Modules, I'm always on the look out for those : )

I have a spare auto wah - I'd have to fire it up and see if it works right. My recollection is fuzzy but I think it's OK - as Thorny correctly points out they are relatively rare and relatively unimpressive.

Send me a PM and let me know if it's working (and what you would ask for it).
Sounds like it's right up my alley as my guitar playing is a bit fuzzy and relatively unimpressive :)

I didn't start out looking to get the whole set of Modules... but through guitar purchases (and sales) I've ended up with most of them. So I figure at this point I might as well go for complete the set.
