Hey guys, hope I find you all well!

I have an all acrylic Dan Amstrung Electra. Any idea what model number it is and when it was made. I can post pictures if needed.

There were 2 different Dan Armstrong type copies that were Electra branded. The 2246 has slide in pickups like the original DA types. The 2255 had 2 humbuckers mounted in the pick guard.

We would love to hear the story on your purchase and we also love pictures.

Looks like the 2255 (not to be confused with the 2255WC Tele style that also used that ID) and these were some of the first Electras that were produced with model numbers. There are other pre-catalog models with no model number, but I would put this in the 1970-1972 range. Someone else here might have a better idea.

I've been putting about 2,000 miles on my road bike this summer, before that I had some bouts with health issues that really knocked me down for about a year... but I'm good now. Its time for me to catalog my Electras, I didn't keep good records when I was picking them up so I'm not even sure which goes with which case, a bit of a mess to say the least.

Glad your health issues are getting better -

We'll keep pulling for you.

And glad you're back.

Between you and mortarman - collectively you both have quite a few of the Electra guitar models that were ever offered.

About 3/4's of the collection, missing are my Pro endorser, flying V, 2255, and various and sundry other models

I never get to play the ones way up on the wall :D My players are a '63 Strat and a 1968 Gibson LP Deluxe Goldtop, the rest of my guitars are just sitting in their cases wishing they'd get played.
