Well I can't say enough about this beauty. As everyone may know already I am a dedicated hard core Electra fan. I enjoy all of my many Vintage original Electra models and I am a faithfull egas fanatic when it comes to my Electras. With this said let me say that Ben and company at the New Electra shops have outdone themselves with these new Electra Omega models. These guitars show the proud Electra lineage and honor all of our Electra fan values such as craftsmanship, superior quality, excellent build materials, superior tone and playability and affordability. I encourage everyone to take a close look at the new Electra lineup. This guitar to me is exceptional in that it has all the best things I liked in my original Electra Omega but it has modern Tone Pro hardware as well as updated tuners etc which is always a plus. Ben and company have excelled in matching and surpassing the beloved magnaflux pickups with the new modern versions. These pickups have a warm, clean, crisp and clear tone but when overdriven have that ZZ Top style growl we all love. Plenty of power to spare and the body shape and cutouts allow for easy access to all frets. The frets are jumbo style and the fret board is ebony which is very nice. These have a 3-way switch instead of the original 5 way and the controls are 3 instead of 4 knobs and are easy to reach and control. The body cut fits very comfortable on your belly and these are very hard to put down once you start playing just like our beloved original Electras. The binding is top notch and the overall weight is light and comfortable for those long sets. The neck is my favorite and is the old style neck that is comfortable and fast. Even though this model was made in Korea it is of superior craftsmanship and it shows. I think these guitars live up to our demanding standards and will surpass any current Gibson LP model out there. Hope you enjoy the photos and will consider a look see into these new models. Ben and company do not disappoint and are very easy to deal with and the guitar has a great warranty as well not that anyone will ever need the warranty as these guitars are rock solid. Got my egas boiling for another one of these in Maple and Ceruse. Thanks Ben

Missing the body binding? Looks like a studio LP. Let down!

That is incorrect Shackleton. All of the new Omegas and Omega Primes have 7 Ply Multi-Ply Guitar Binding that has received rave reviews by artists and owners. It probably has to do with the photo lighting.

The body binding is highlighted for the Omega and Omega Prime on their product pages

Yes this beauty does have superb binding all around but it is 8) difficult to see in the photo as it is black and white binding layers. This guitar will outplay any Les paul standard or studio that I have been able to try out at the local guitar center. I will try to get some better photos as soon as I can put it down long enough to take some photos.

You can't please everyone - but a very nice axe IMO!

Congrats Arthur.

Play it well.

Really an outstanding looking guitar. Congratulations, Arthur! Nice to have your in-hand appraisal, and I hope you'll update us as you log more time on it.

Yeah... the white one really does it for me. :-)
