cool better stock up on vintage ones now

The new modern electras are very nice and do indeed hold up and exceed the Vintage electra standards we all love in our Japanese models. The quality and playability on the new models are superb. I am a very picky Electra player and lover and I must say that the new models I was able to see and try at the past Electrafest impressed me very much and my two new Omega models are superb players. The modern innovations in my opinion carry on the proud tradition of the Electra brand as being innovators in the hardware, tone, and other areas. The new pickups have all the power and tone we love in our original models and the Tone Pro Hardware, tuners, and trem systems are superb innovations. If you get the chance to check out one of these models they will not disappoint. The Bass models have a very versatile tone selection and are very well balanced and easy to play. Congrats and best wishes to the Crew at Electra. Keep the innovations and traditions coming in 2014.

Glad to hear the new ones are maintaining a high quality, the price is a little intimidating though.

How do you think this will effect the value of older models? Increase awareness and demand for Vintage models? Or not really at all? I dont see it making them LESS valuable, but honestly I dont care, mine is priceless to me anyways

Well I think the prices on the new models are very competitive now that I have 2 and have actually seen them and played them. I have had sworn by Gibson LP players that have played both my new Omega Prime models and have since stated that they simply outclass any new Gibson LP in Quality and playability other than maybe a 5K or so Custom Built Les Paul. The quality is top notch and does not fail to impress for certain. It was sweet to hear a lifelong Gibson LP player admit that his studio LP and standard LP were no match for the features and power of the new Omega models. Check one out if you can you will like it. If you are ever down in southern Ga feel free to drop in and give a new or old one a try.

The fact they are back is great for the vintage values imo. Just like Danelectro's, Airline and now Supro amps.

I got mine this week. It's an Omega (the actual display from NAMM '14) Love it!

I think the one you played was MINE - the first prototype black one that was in NAMM 2013. Not that there is a whole lot of difference. Mine doesn't have a serial number though because it was the prototype black one.

The first 2 new Omegas were the black and white attack. They are unmarked. I took the white one from the shop to quality test it, and of course, am still quality testing it It's kind of cool to know where they are.

I like them all - new or old.
