If anyone's interested, I'd jump in before it ends. Expecting a heat up by the end of this auction...

I wonder how many of these we'll see on the secondary market in years to come? I wonder if they won this one and that's why they're selling it? At $999 street price, even the Buy It Now looks attractive.

I agree that his is a great price on a great guitar and they did give on away as a prize. The finish is amazing and it plays awesome. Got to check one out at this past years Electrafest thanks to Ben and Gene for attending Electrafest. :up:

I checked into it and it was a dealer that moved some inventory. He should have picked another one. Sold in a day for $649.

Got mine in yesterday - finally after waiting since 2013 - it's a player!

Mick Donner actually located it in the Electra warehouse;

I was told this was the last one until the new ones come out in April / May 2017 -

Just gorgeous. Congrats!

What strikes you most about it? Other than the gorgeous top...

It is completely different is setup, playability, neck, Fretboard, etc. than my X340 and X330 MPC's - but I really like them all; each one is unique - and I wouldn't take for any of them.

I really like the neck joint on this one; somewhat easier to play in the upper register -

Finally after 38 + years another Electra to play -

This has matching knotholes? on the front near the top left and under the pickguard -

My X340 MPC has matching knotholes near the bottom on the front -

Right on, I find the same thing with my Phoenix. It's just a different animal, it's own thing... which is just fine! No one wants identical copies of former models, we want the current models.

The modern Electra's have outstanding playability, whereas the old guitars have a lived in feel which is worth its weight in gold.

Congrats on the new Electra. I am still enthralled with my Phantom Quilt Talon. Welcome to the old/new Electra club!

That's a good one -

And a good club to be in -

LOL -

I have always wanted the Omega Prime Ceruse Model ever since I first saw one -

I couldn't pass this one up - and for $699 with the case and free shipping I went for it;

Glad I did - it's a sweet player - played it again last night -

congrats! glad you got what you wanted. It is nice to see things come together.

There is a white one that I really like. I still have the original prototype black one, and it is really nice. There may be some differences because mine is a prototype. Mine has a large neck. And there also are some phoenix models on ebay too now. Really seems to be good deals. I already have my phoenix too. This can be an illness! I want every one in every color. But with about 20-30 guitars or so, I have to stop. I know the collection pales to some of you all, but it still is more than I can play.

I really liked the models I got to play in the electra fests too - liked the talon. I'd like to see the new models. So the new line is probably made for them by another mfgr. I wonder are they Korean or Chinese? Who is making them?

So I am home for a bit so I dusted the guitars off and fired up my bogner (hadn't been played in a while). I also finished up the LPjr project I had been working on. God that amp sounded good. I am enjoying my time home.

Found today at the new Electra Guitars Facebook page - from NAMM January 2017 -

I believe that’s my recently purchased Electra Omega Prime Ceruse on the back row just to the left of the red Invicta on the far right:

Confirmed by Ben Chafin 03/20/2017 that Mick Donner did pull this guitar out of the NAMM guitars stack and it was shipped to me -

Mick also confirmed that he did the "Peter Green flip" on the neck pickup - see next page on this forum entry -

OK, does yours have 5 or 7 layer binding?
