The "new era" Danelectro company made a line of guitars (Dan-o-blaster) in the early 2000-era with built in effects. The on board effects of course remind one of Electra's MPC range, so I think it's worth mentioning in this forum.

I've just acquired this Dan-o-blaster Innuendo 12 string.

The body is atypical for vintage and reissue Danelectros, in that it's "solid" (plywood) instead of hollow construction. Kind of a mashup of strat and Mosrite shapes. Basic strat style three pickup w/ 5 way switch, master volume and tone controls. 4 small push buttons activate individual effects (distortion, chorus, tremolo, and slap echo). Two more knobs allow modification of distortion and term rate. The other effects are non-adjustable. Uniquely, there's a direct output jack that bypasses the effects, while another output jack activates the battery powered circuitry and provides the effected output. You can use either output, or both simultaneously.

The clever bridge has adjustable intonation for all 12 strings, and the guitar has nice enclosed mini tuners and graphite nut, with medium frets, and a relatively comfortable string spacing. Read: less cramped than a Rickenbacker 12 string.

This is hilarious! I have the exact same model - same color and everything. The only difference is, I put a set of bill lawrence keystone pickups on it. You'd never know by looking at it, they look stock. They are excellent and traditional sounding single coils (a nice improvement). A nice feature is this 12 string will intonate on every string (most high dollar ones won't). The hardware is pretty good and with some setup it plays nicely. Not a bad guitar at all - and these were made in Korea too. The FX are a lot like the early reissue danelectro (around year 2000) ones in the plastic cases - some are ok and some aren't, but it is very neat having them built into the guitar. It has 4 of them.
