8) Even with this being an open book headstock 1976 or earlier and in great shape it is not worth that much. It is however located in my old hometown of Macon ga and is only about 1hr away so if anyone is interested or needs me to check it out etc pm me. I love the one I have with the same headstock and bridge/tailpiece. Awesome guitar. I would place my opinion at $800-$1000 range since it is a very nice example with case.

Shackleton,

That nut looks like the one on mine which is the same year. That doesn't mean it hasn't been changed, but it doesn't appear to have been.

You know, sandspur, if you ever tire of that Jazz Strad I'm your man. ;-) I have to say the direction the semi's are moving in is making collecting them more and more difficult. S'pose it's all relative, though... I can well remember getting squeezed out of the vintage Gibson/Fender market in the seventies. What's a poor boy to do?

Metesky,

I bought one that needed some minor repairs and on this guitar I'm having them done instead of doing them myself. Even still I sold a Gibson I had to buy it  It wasn't a vintage Gibson though. But I made money on the Gibson and move forward.

Placed 3 offers...all turned down..forgot about it....received message several days later renegotiated and I purchased it. It has been well taken care of...excellent condition..nut and entire git appears to b original...some history..The Guitar belonged to Blues Player Robert Lee Coleman out of Macon..he was original owner..very few hours on it..He plays a PRS now that was given to him by Paul Reed Smith.. Robert can b viewed on you tube..no vids of him playin Electra......

Exactly! 13% adds up. Say you sell a guitar for $500... that's $65 you'll pay between Ebay and Paypal. So you'll wind up with $435.
