Hey Mick,

What a great thing! I've been intending to upload some pics here, but it always seems to get bumped to the bottom of the list. ;-)

So, in acknowledgement of my Forum duty, I wanted you to know I have the 2267 as a, I believe, sample/prototype. I don't have any good pics on hand, but I'll try and get some to you this weekend.

BTW, I noticed you didn't show a X140 with a sunburst. I've only seen two. It's a very unique looking finish. I have one (project) that I'm shipping to a forum member this weekend.

there's 2 x-140S models. the full stain, and the stain burst. is that the one you have? I believe I have a pic of one...

Can't say except it's the walnut stain version or a sunburst like the X145 has. It' say very warm looking two color sunburst with satin or semi-gloss finish (I'm not looking at it now) that doesn't quite fill the grain. Has a real shimmer to it. Only seen one other, myself.

I'll let the new owner know to run it by you. ;-)

I only have one pic of one, and it has a modified headstock.

that's nice! the page I've made is really just for model identifiaction, so I try not to add any refins to it.
what did yours start as?

RE-looking at my initial post on this, and I don't think I've really created a visual reference page. it's more of a mode/variation reference listing with lots of pics to check out.
I'm still trying to clear enough space to get it uploaded.

It looks like some of the hardest pictures to find will be the ones on your list that need a peace logo with the open book headstock. I think this was the time that the open books were turned into cut out style. But since there are catalog pictures of them, there is at least 1 of each of these models out there.

1976 X 310 MPC originally all black but the top was striped when I got it.
