When I first got my 2258, it was in need of a good cleaning. I used some dunlop cleaner which worked well, but it seems to have soaked in past the finish, and caused some discoloration. Is there a fix for this? I don't know how to post pic's here yet using my tablet or I would show what I mean. It soaked in around the carving towards the bottom of the body.

Hopefully it dried out and isn't as dark now. I don't much believe in those cleaners. Problem is that it removes the dirt and the dry wood soaks it back in even deeper. Post some pics, there may be some hope to clean it. And if not, it's now just part of that guitar's story.
