This is a no-bullshit-bad-beast of a guitar. 'Nuff said.

It looks like that paper on the back plate was initialed by the famous Rene Lopez at Saint Louis Music. He most likely did the initial set-up on your guitar.

I agree that the initials are probably Rene Lopez, somewhat of a legend in the SLM world. Glad you like it, and thanks for the photo essay. If you really want a stunner, almost all of the Sunburst Endorsers were made in 1983, keep you eye out! Cheers.

I was under the impression that back in their day all Electras were somewhat budget guitars. However, I used an inflation calculator. The original list price on the X-280 was 269$, in today's money that's about 650$! Not exactly chump change. Even today I could get a new Hwy 1 Fender for around that. But even still, in today's market I don't believe you could buy a new guitar of this quality for 650$.

By no means were all Electras budget instruments. Guitar prices have not kept pace with inflation. Then again niether have musicians incomes.

Something is wrong with that bridge and tail piece - they have a finish on them and are not full of pits like they are supposed to :D Seems like all of mine do that have the original pieces.

ha ha - I jest...

Wonderful condition on that guitar. Heck it is like new (or almost). Great find!

Haha, it's hard to see in the pictures but it does have a light patina on all of the metal parts! It really is just a marvelous guitar, one of those guitars that makes you remember exactly what you love about playing guitar. It's sparked my interest in other Electra guitars and now I keep my eyes peeled for good deals. You don't see too many around and when you do they're usually beaten up worn examples. However, I would really like to find a nice Invicta in the natural finish!

Someone, probably mortarman, had one at the show. I recall it was very nice.

I don't own that one but own a new Phoenix and Omega, and I like them a lot.

Can't say enough about my two new Electra's, the Phoenix and the Talon.

This new breed is top notch. I know it's tough if you can't get near one in person, but you can trust the positive feedback they're earning.

No bull, no hype, they're just really well made and well thought out instruments.

8) The two new models I had at the fest were the new Electra Omega Prime Models. Super nice Natural finish. I have not managed to score the Invecta models yet.

I've been checking out the new Electras you guys have been building, they look awesome and I think it's cool that you have resurrected the Electra name. I hope I'm not ruining any surprises but I would love to see some reissues made to exact original specs. Who wouldn't like to see that?
