Did anyone in here buy this guitar? If so, get in touch with me as I have some items to send you.

I didn't know that Joe had sold that one. What was left of his Electras?

Sad story there. During last year he started selling them off. This was to pay his ever increasing bills, but I can't help but wonder if he was trying to put his things in order. I wasn't aware of it until last October when I noticed two of his guitars for sale on eBay that, I don't believe, he had not tried to sell in the Forum. I don't know what his thinking was, but I can imagine how painful it was. Also, quite naturally, his family kept some, including one to a nephew who I believe is a budding rock 'n roller. ;-) He also parted out some guitars at some point

Most of what was left was either in pieces or needing some work to make salable. There are only a few Electras. This includes a very nice bolt-neck Super Magnum, a beautiful X145VS, and a much modified Outlaw. All completed guitars will be put up for sale. There are also some that will require some work. Pricewise there'll be something for everyone, though keep in mind that the proceeds, all of which will go to the family, are necessary to offset the expenses incurred by Joe's passing. Most importantly, I'm confident he'd want these guitars to go to his friends in the Forum.

There will be a miscellany of parts left over that I will try and get to people as the need arises... I'll keep an eye on the Parts Wanted Forum. Offhand, I can't think of anything special of an Electra nature. Mostly a mixed bag (really a box) of this and that... the kind of stuff we ll stash away for some future need.

I can't give you a timeline, but just believe that all the above is the way it is, and it won't be long. I have some other Joe related irons in the fire that I'll be posting on soon. PM me if you have any questions.

That's all folks... And thanks for all the nice PMs you've sent. I've copied Joe's family on all the posts made about him, and I just can't tell you how much it, how much YOU have meant to them. I'm proud to be a member of this Forum and to know some of you.
