Must have the dot inlays and binding around the body side of neck etc.

Wow, those are good looking guitars. Are you just looking for Les
pauls or others?

Yeah just looking for these specific Les Paul types. I had a Crate Electra strat, but the neck was twisted. They go for SUPER cheap too.

I'm not sure. They seem to have some sort of presswood laminate construction body's. Cheap on paper but I LOVE how they sound. I think it's the combination of body, the good fretwork and some mods to their (cheap) harness that makes it sound so good. They have resistors and capacitors on their 500k pots that add a lot of mojo.

UPDATE:

Just installed some pickups and new switches/wire etc in my Tobacco Burst Crate Electra.

Image

Motor City pickups Detroiter in the bridge, tone pots bypassed, one bournes pot that was too bright at 500k so added a resistor and a cap to tame it (copied the original method used in the Crate Electra). Finished it off with an upgraded toggle switch, rubber vol knob, new screws, cobalt strings and a vintage screaming demon in the neck.

The rubber knob was used because the shaft of the bournes knob was too thick for the original shaft.

I did a quick vid, cam audio and the cab is around the corner but you get the idea of how tight it is.

It sounds amazing in the room. And yes that is beastmaster in the background.

Beastmaster! Cool show. Or movie, or whatever it was. Glad you're digging the thing, sounded great!

Oops I did it again. Number 4. This one looks 100% new.

Like with all of my crates, I'll put rotomatics, bone nut and upgrade the pickups.
