2 questions, any one know about the plateing process hes doing at the end and did you freak too at the 1.14 min mark when it looked like dude had a tail.

Good video showing the entire process. But seriously though, way TOO MUCH trouble. You can buy a brass blank already shaped and with the string slots cut correctly for a gibson or an electra fairly cheaply on ebay - you just have to do final slotting for the strings and round off teh edges for the sides slightly so it feels good and does not overlap by a mm or a half. It looks completely like the stock one. The also have one that has some compensation in it, but I have not tried that one. It is neat to see how he does it though. But this way you don't have to have the nut rule and a large piece of brass to cut and shape. That takes a ton of work.
