Hello,
Would anyone know if it would be possible to convert a guitar neck with a standard nut to a zero fret ? Any response
would be greatly appreciated.

You'd have to remove the nut and move it back and place the zero fret where the nut was originally - so you'd be adding to the fretboard. Probably would not work well.

What Thorny said. The most practical way would be to replace the fretboard. That is more trouble than it is worth. Why would you like to do this? If it is to have the open strings sound c;oser to the fretted ones you can use a brass nut.

I have a guitar with a zero fret and have never knew why it was made that way or what the advantage of it was. It is a hollow body double cut away with a tremolo, the one's with the coil spring on the bottom. In the 40 years I have had it I've only saw 2 of this model.
