I was replacing the selector switch in my Corsair (Rick copy) bass when I noticed that while the pots are split shaft, the knobs are set-screw (and stuck, too). I had a heck of a time getting them off so I could tighten the pots. Is this set screw knob/split shaft pot arrangement original? Since a pot was also replaced at one pot with a smaller one, some wiring pics would be welcome, too.

Is yours the mono or stereo version? Which knobs came on yours? We have seen two different types come on these.

It's mono with the black knobs with silver tops that have Volume and Tone written on them.

for wiring, just use the RIC 4001 mono diagrams. there are lots floating around the interweb...

if you replace the pots, if you use CTS USA threading pots, the knobs are much harder to find and usually more expensive.

Can somebody just tell me if the original pots should have solid or split shafts?

I've only seen split on originals.
