It has no wave headstock, funny logo, no serial number stamped in back and has an extra switch in with the knobs. What is going on with this one?

It looks like someone reshaped the headstock and added their own logo with a magic marker to me. The Bridge pickup isn't stock, it has all slug pole pieces, and the mini switch is probably its added coil cut switch. He'll be lucky to get 2 bills for it.

agreed. Headstock is a hack job.

those pickups could be junk, or could be (if old) dimarzio that were sold as upgrades to japanese guitars (not electra to my knowledge) - brands such as Lotus. They would say dimarzio on the back probably be in the 10K ish range. Not bad pickups of that is what they are. But they are not particularly valuable even if they are (they are decent sounding though).

Strictly a player at this point - I personally wouldn't pay $100 for it unless I really needed the parts. Kinda rough coming from me given the repaired Electras I own, but I usually buy messed up ones and try to fix them to make them more like original (usually).

Any chance of that being a PCM ? or maybe the neck was broken and replaced with something that fit. As for the rest you guys would know more about that model than me.

Its a workingman with the wave chopped off and the logo was horribly hand painted back on with what looked to me to be a paint marker. The switch was added by someone later. It was in a guitar shop in Seattle. I thought about buying it. It played really nice. But the price?? It was like being charged extra for a rare 3 legged dog.
