Just acquired this guitar from Craigslist and would like to know if anyone can identify this model....from what I can tell, the headstock logo is the same as the unidentified guitar on this website, and that is the only guitar I've ever seen with similar logo. Any Help would be appreciated. file:///C:/Users/aaalo_000/Pictures/electra1.jpg

That is a PCM logo - not a SLM logo. They are different owners. Those models don't have much information available on them. They also (my own opinion) seem to vary greatly in quality. Some are really great, and very similar to the SLM ones, and some are cheaper. But there isn't a whole lot known about them or at least not any paperwork or catalogs we know about. Good luck.

Thanks Thorny,

I have several other Made in Japan LP copies, and this one seems to play really well, however after taking it apart last night I did fine out that the pickups are not original as they are Dimarzios. It is still a player and although I got it because I was hoping it was all original, I will keep it as it sounds awesome.....I still want to know as much as I can about its origin.....so thanks for pointing me in the right direction

If the dimarzios have square mounting feet they are from the original 70s series and they sound better to me and are more collectible. The 70s ones won't be potted unless someone did it after they bought it. If they are triangle shaped, they are likely later 80s and not as collectible have have less value. Not a big deal, but worth noting. The early dimarzios sound great!
