Hi everyone.

I've recently finished my first MPC Module PCB prototypes and they have worked out pretty well. This first circuit is a Mossrite Fuzzrite germanium fuzz clone. All parts can be found either at Mouser or Small Bear (the transistors). I was curious if anyone here would be interested in any PCBs or finished modules. The next run will not require the jumper wires. At this point I have no housing for the modules but hope to work on that in the future. I have some ideas for more designs as well and can post updates here if folks are interested.

Cheers

Very interesting design. How close are they in size to the original MPC modules. The later MPC modules had eay access to the boards as the tops would come off then you could remove the board to repair it etc. If these are close then they may fit the later plastic MPC module boxes. Nice work.

Nice to see someone else doing some MPC aftermarket development.

What pricing do you expect for the naked board, and also for the assembled module?

The board is a bit smaller than the regular MPC module pcbs I think. Should fit into one of those later enclosures nicely. I have someone I've used for synth panels that does some pretty great laser cut plexi stuff, I might try to get some pieces cut for some enclosures.

These boards should run about $15 each for sale. Complete with components soldered in, about $75. I might do some kits or something too if there is enough interest. Incidentally, the boards have spaces for regular pots if you want to use them to make standalone stomp boxes.

The next design I hope to finish later this month is a pt2300 delay module / chaotic pitch shifter.

Its definitely fun designing for these guitars, such a cool system!

Your prices look very reasonable. You may be able to find an enclosure ready made that you can mod.

I think a delay would be super extra nifty :) . I'd be interested.

I'm interested, Vintage is nice but one that actually works is way better.

Have you made any more modules? A delay may be a tricky one to feed into the front of an amp as opposed to running the delay into the loop.

I'd be interested in hearing what you're coming up with. Can we hear what you've got?

I too think that something usable vs. vintage is the way to go. Especially for those of us who play out.

This thread is from 2012. The OP has only two posts on the board, both in this thread. You might try to send him a message, but my guess is that the project has been abandoned. I'd like for him to prove me wrong.

GREAT NEWS!!! I found a company in Japan that will ship blank Sunhayato UK-10P-67 PCB boards to the USA. It is around $4 per board with $10 shipping!!

If you are wondering, these boards fit exactly into the electra MPC module slots. Hello custom effects!!! Here is the link

hey Thorny, make these too! The issue it finding a good reason to make them. Or a good, usable effect. Something that is better than or different than stock.

At this point I would settle for stock modules for a decent price.......I cant believe how much the original modules are going for........
