My Westone Prestige 250 had arrived a couple of days ago. And I already had a Prestige 150. So I couldn't resist the chance to group them with my Talon... to confirm or deny my suspicion further, was the Talon truly based upon the Westone Prestige like I thought it was?

After my comparison, the Talon nestled among the Prestige duo, I no longer have any doubt. The Talon is a modern, 24 fret, flattop, Floyd bearing Electra version of the gorgeous Westone Prestige design! The Talon may be the closest thing to a Prestige reissue as we'll ever get.

Pretty cool, the Prestige design was always one of my favorites. Maybe that's what drew me to the Talon, even though I didn't make the connection in my mind at the time.

All of you Prestige fans... this is your chance. Hurry up and grab your Electra Talon while they are still available.

Does the binding on the prestige look wider at the cutaway because it is beveled back?

The Prestige is a carved top, the Talon is flat. That's the difference.

This was for sale a couple years back, also. For $1800. It didn't sell, so then he was saying "make an offer". I don't know if this is the same seller or not? Certainly a nice guitar, custom made by Ben. A new one is much more than this, so if someone was into this color... this may be a good find? I think he's too high with it, resale on USA customs are not this high?

I contacted Ben on a custom Talon, pink quilt. That was before the little baby boy hit, lol. I'll have to hold off on that one!

very nice guitar. I think probably too high, but who is to say? There are not too many examples of handmade electras from Ben out there. But customs are so hard to say.

I played a new korean one at one of the recent electra fests and it was really nice. Gotta think that one is fantastic.
