I'm a little closer, just can't get my free time to work with anything at the moment. Would love to hook up with you guys though, almost have my daughter settled in to college and have a few things to finish up. A side from the 5 to 10 minutes I occasionally get to pick up a guitar lately, I haven't plugged into an amp in over a month.

I drove to FL for a few days very early this spring but my time was very limited and had the whole family along. My brother (in FL) had much of our time planned too. So it was RUSH RUSH RUSH. I also intended on seeing the guys in Tampa, but still, too little time and too many plans. Family wants to go to the Beach.

I had a long weekend in Gatlinburg but that was rushed just because it was only a long weekend.

I apologize! I am working in Columbus, OH and still live near Evansville, IN so I am driving a LOT. I do get to see Jack B every once in a while for lunch or something. I plan to head over to his place for a visit sometime. Very busy. I do keep a look out. I saw a nice super magnum for sale (bolt neck version). I told Jack about it. But I looked and it is gone already. Pretty good shape save for needed a new 3 way switch.

We need some kind of meeting just hard to get enough together. Everyone is so busy any longer.

Hey there, John..

... that's quite the commute there, brother; I have a friend here has a drive of about the same distance to go to work, only his is in the middle of nowhere in western Queensland; I don't envy you - or Don! - that drive!

How's Jack? We haven't heard from him in an age; he was going to put together a book on Electra, wasn't he?!

You know I'm on the hunt for a Phoenix X175JB or a X145 VS in rag order, yes?? :D

I just thought I mention it in case you see one on your journeys...

I'm still too wrapped up in life to consider something like this! Unless it was local to PA!

Talkin' about Jack... he is fine as far as I know. We had lunch probably a month or so ago. He is busy as can be and has no shortage of things he's doing, and he is very talented. He works multiple jobs and writes, travels. He's busy. I always have a hellova time even if it is just meeting for some lunch and to chat about guitars.
