I have a Phoenix guitar that my folks purchased for me back in the early 80's (83 I believe). It is a beautiful metalic dark maroon with a a black neck. I'll have to look up the exact model.

After they purchased it for me like a lot of teenagers...I lost interest.

I have managed to keep this over the years and since I never really played it it is like brand new (or should I say perfect). There are no scratches or nicks or anything.

I have a nice hard case for it as well....and a small amp.

Can anyone tell me what this might be worth and where is the best place to sell it (EBAY, local add, guitar shop).

That sounds like the X-185 model. A guy was selling on on eBay a few months ago; you can still see his GREAT description and tech info here:

Looks like he got a little over $300 for it. I'm not really into Strat-type guitars, but if I were going in that direction I'd probably start with the X-185. It sounds like a fantastic guitar!
