I bought this guitar a few years ago. I know nothing about it. ITs pink and has a bendmaster deluxe floating bridge. H(coil tapped)/S/S It is a matsumoku product. Im just trying to find its value and its rarity. It's sound is amazing and when played clean it sounds very full and rich. I have taken it apart once to change the barrel jack to a switchcraft barrel cause the factory was a defect. Its quite a heavy in weight guitar. Help me someone who knows anything about this specific model

The 3 guys at harmonycentral who have this model really like it.
Seems to be well built with a fat neck that I also dig.
You also have a coil tap by pulling a control knob.

I had a Pantera, and model X230 comes to mind but I could be wrong. Solid guitar, and heavy for it's small size. It was the bolt neck with pink pearlescent finish and black neck and HW. One thing I remember about it was the body edges were almost perfectly radiused, not squared off. Not a bad little guitar. I gave $160 for it about 3 years ago.

there was no X-230 i think what u have is the X-275 the X-250 had 2 double coils, i own the X-275 Pantera Black real nice like u said, but the bendmaster tremolo is total junk...i also didnt think the pick-ups were all that good....not enuff low end actually weak in the low-end...i replaced the bendmaster for a floyd rose and then set it up with full EMG pick-ups 2 SA and one 85 (gold EMG on the pick-up). i bought it for $277 in 1991 the floyd rose installment was $200 the full EMG set-up was $222....that's about $700 total and i love it...the neck is fast... the tonal qualities r awsome...ppl r amazed a lesser known guitar feels and sounds so great, these guitars r being collected up by guitarists.... they r hard to find, i have owned 3 i got 2 one got stolen! it was a Pantera X-375.

i just bought a Trevor Rabin Signature Series which is a top model Pantera it just doesnt say Pantera on it . it looks just like a Pantera but it's lighter , not as heavy.Trevor Rabin played guitar for YES real good... so i bought this 'high end' guitar i noticed the same weak pick-ups so i did a dif variation of the last one which was to put 2 vintage single coil EMG's and another 85 it allready had a floyd rose!! so it was set...the neck on the Trevor Rabin Signature a little flatter.... i think its faster.... any ways u also get a 3 knob set-up unlike the Pantera which had just one volumne knob..i could care less alout a coil tap..... nyways, the cost of the guitar (red its real nice) $225 the full emg set-up $262 grand total $482 not bad...the Trevor Rabin has 24 frets....and this will be me all time fave, grant u i own a 1972 telecaster custom neck on a 1982 red stratocaster body brass faceplate (worn heavily) 3 EMG SA-1 single coils.... it's got 3 switches so i can have any possible pick-up set-up......stock tremelo (floating,,, set-up by me) Spertzel locking tuners...never goes out of tune.... i have been offered over 850 for this guitar...i will never sell it anyways reply if u want ....i think Panteras rock

I've seen a couple of bits online over the years where people mistakenly thought the guitar was a signature model for the heavy metal band Pantera. But it makes me wonder if the band might actually have named themselves after the guitar. :D

I stand corrected. :D I went back thru my pics and mine was in fact an X275. The pickups on it were rather weak which is why it never warmed up to me considering it was designed with speed/heavy metal in mind. Low output thin mid pickups don't lend themselves to harmonic rich high gain.

I am not sure what the model number is (you may know) but there was a version of the Pantera that was neck-thru, flame maple with amber/honey finish. The body back was contoured as well and had the same headstock, tailpiece, and bridge as the Prestige. If I were to long for a Pantera now, that would easily be the one.
