After browsing a lot I could'nt find any pictures/model specs of my Westone bass:

I need help to use the huge amount of knobs on this bass.
I've got the hint from somebody, that the electrics may be a copy from early BC-Rich basses.....

Wow that's a lot of knobs. First thing I'd look for is how many panel covers there are on the back, because with that much I'd guess it might have active pickups.

Some of it you might figure out by trial and error, try flipping the switches and see what changes. The most common switch functions were coil tap (makes your humbuckers into single-coils for thinner sound) and phase reverse (puts one pickup, usually bridge, out of phase for a 'duck-like' sound with lots overtones). It could be some switches coil tap only one of the pickups at a time, you might experiment to see if the switches make a difference only to one pickup or the other.

You are quite right, there are two switches which change the phase of the related pu's.
I forgot, the knobs were originally a kind of black with silver top ones, one is a chickenhead-type one. Those golden dome-knobs were installed by the previous owner.
There is one knob to change a basic sound, from mostly dark to bright.
One knob is a master volume and there are two single volumeknobs for each pu.
I think it's an active bass, it has a battery included in the back-cavern and a electronic board in it.
I mess with one switch, which turns the bass to such a massive volume, that my amp delivers only a worse sounding, distorted signal. The sound-knob seems to be shut off. The position of it is between the master volume and the sound switch....I have to take care not accidently turn this switch on!

I also play Westone basses, Does it have a serial number on the headstock or neck plate?
I own a Westone Thunder I (82) and I-A (84) and about to publish a website with some information on westone neck plates and head stock logo's.

I have a hunch your bass is a very early Westone possibly 1980 or Pre-1980
