Here's the latest addition to the family:





It's an '83 Electra Futura, Pearl White. To tell the truth, I had no idea this guitar was so beautiful until I saw it in person. The pearly white is really a beautiful golden butter cream color, and with the gold hardware and tuners it really looks exceptional... not like a guitar, I don't know, more like jewelry. It's really something, I wasn't expecting it, but this might be the most beautful guitar in my collection.

It has twin humbuckers, and 'Gibson-style' controls- separate volume and tone for each pickup. The tone knobs are also pull switches to activate coil tap and phase reverse.

The previous owner really loved this guitar, and we got into quite a conversation about it, not only about its beauty but about its exceptional tone. This is also nearly the only guitar I've had that was compeltely ready to play right out of the case- all the setup work was done exactly as I would have liked it, and new strings too.

I was going to ask you if this one was yours from a previous post you left and now this one here answers it.
I have to say I'm impressed with the style of the Electra Futura. As a guitar it looks great I could only imagine how rad it would be as a bass!

My eyes will scan the screens of Ebay then too for an Electra Futura bass. Thanx for the " head's up " on that.

there it is- the X700! and it was a mirror image of the white Futura, like the Red Futura is.
