I could host it in the interim if needed? Or permanently if needed....

I always hate to see good reference sites down/gone.....

Hi guys,

It is here now, and Electraman has gone over the transfer and so far looks good. It for the most part should be a mirror image with the only difference being the server it resides on. A few links have changed such as e-mail contact and such, but everything else is up and running.

Hopefully now that it is here under the scrutiny of custom logging and monitoring all will go smooth. Let me know if something turns up broken or something is amiss.

thank you thank you thank you to AP!

and thank you thank you thank you to EM too!

that site is really helpful and important to these guitars. it helps people understand what these are, and helps the instruments live on and be appreciated.

i have to agree... thank you thank you thank you :) it would be such a shame to see the electra site simply disappear like the lyle site did a few months back... especially with all the work that went into it

thanks to all involved in the saving and maintaining of the electra site :)

Well, I don't think I'd quite qualify as a "white knight" or anything. I just know what kind of dedication and work goes into it and would never let that kind of investement fade away.

Myself, the admin at the hosting company, and the upstream feed from them are good about keeping things patched, but there are always vulnerabilities. Creative minds gone astray always find them. Hopefully at least it is a little more secure than the average. Good logging and checking the logs likely helps some.

The "Electra Page", along with it's heritage and legacy will live on as long I can help it. There are landscape landmarks, and then there are intenet landmarks. The Electra Page has easily attained the status of the latter (if only in the eyes of an obscure and loyal bunch like us).
