Thanks for the potting advice, I reckon I'll have to agree and would liken it to a new cap job or something. Yes this song is on his first solo album after the Hampton Grease Band it is called Lost at Sea. I'll find some links and post them. Glad you guys like it. It can be too much for some people but I think it's just awesome.

I can say I really love this dudes guitar work but some of the stuff can be a little cheesy later on
Really processed drums and such. Like on Scratched by the rabbit and Walking through walls. Still some really good songs just not as solid of a album

The first is definately the best and then Razor Pocket recaptures the the spirit and intensity some of the stuff in between is different like he's always exploring. So if you get Lost at sea and dig it yo might want to check out razor pocket and then check other stuff out. There is also the echoes compilation. Read the HGB history they played with tons of people in Atlanta where they had free concerts in a park. Dead, Mahavishnu, Bo Diddley, just to name a few.

When I went to college years ago (rocks were just starting to be formed back then) I was a music major for the first year. My classmates were Andy Timmons and Don Carr. Andy is known for his shredding (in fact, I think they have altars in Japan where they worship him). But the guy can play ANYTHING and ANY STYLE and make it look completely effortless. And Don Carr has played for the Oak Ridge Boys for a long time now too - probably 15 years or so. He kicks too. I was better friends with Don back then, but Andy was always friendly, cordial, and at that time would sit down and try to show me the crazy stuff he was playing and even slowed down I could not get any of it. The guy is just a monster. I bumped into him about a year ago or so on a plane (his family is still in town) and he still was very nice. He endorses Mesa now and has his own signature model ibanez too. I saw him at NAMM a few years ago jammin and doing demos at the Mesa booth too.

He played so good during college in fact that I put my guitar down and hardly played for a few years - and changed majors. I just realized I how inadequate of a player I am. I few years later he was playing for Danger Danger (when hair was big, and spandex still was fashionable). Now I don't care how inadequate of a player I am! I just turn it up and keep going

You only get better as a player by playing with those who are better than you are; mediocrity breeds mediocrity, so I made a point of meeting, watching and jamming with those who could actually play their instruments! It also probably explains why I dabble in so many other instruments, particularly those I can hide behind, like synths...

OK, I have to get it off my chest. This is really awful- I put that big divot in the front of that guitar. I knocked some effect pedal off a shelf and if just hit it like that and I felt sick. And to tell the truth, after that I was stuck- if it had come to me that way I wouldn't care, but it reminded me,a nd I couldn't imagien honestly fixing it flawlessly.

So I was really glad to find it a good home. Thanks, I feel better already.

Missed the original posting of the EBow clip - just now watched it; good stuff!!!
This man did a good job - it sounded right on.

I have had an EBow since the late 70's or so; original chrome one with holster; used it about 2 weeks ago; it still works! I just need to use it more often.
